Who Can Attend: ABSC players only, ages 11-14 Cost: FREE Format: In-person

Course Details:

This training allows you to officiate ABSC in-house recreational games for Under-6 through Under-8 age groups. You only need to attend one field session if there are multiple options.

Note: This course is only available to ABSC players.

Grassroots Referee Certification

Date: August 10th Time: 9am-12pm Location: Gilman West, Tom Bates Complex, 400-408 Gilman St, Berkeley, CA 94710 Who Can Attend: Anyone 13 years or older at registration Cost: $75 Badge fee paid to the California North Referee Administration (CNRA) Format: Hybrid: Online course and In-person

If you are 18 years or older, complete a background check immediately upon sign-up. This process can take up to five days and must be completed before the course.

Payment:
Your $75 badge fee will be reimbursed after officiating 5 games and pay rate depends on the age group and competition level of the game.

Once certified you will be able to to officiate as center referee or linesman

How to Register

Step 1: Register with ABSC

Log in to your account Select “Grassroots Referee Field Training 2024 (13 yrs+)” Register as a player, even if you are a parent or coach.

Step 2: Register with CNRA

Go to the CNRA learning center Register Here for the August 10th field training

Important Notes:

Complete all Learning Center requirements at least 24 hours before the field session. Registration closes 4 days before the field session. A badge fee is required and the badge will be provided upon successful completion of both the online and field sessions.
