Serving as a Grade-8 referee is an excellent way for adults and teens to increase their knowledge of the game, step onto their familiar field in a new capacity and earn money. In addition, teens can get work experience and be role models for younger kids.

Become a referee in this entry-level Grade-8 referee certification course or take a refresher course to get ready for the fall season. Here are the two FREE courses coming up.

Team Assignment
Families can now self select a team assignment. The earlier one registers, the more team choices will be available. Players interested in a full team will be placed on a waitlist. Rosters will be finalized in August. ABSC will do our best to honor team selections and requests, but we cannot guarantee team placement.

USSF Initiatives
ABSC has adopted the U.S. Soccer Federation’s player development initiatives which include small sided games through U12 and birth year team formation. With the changes in team formation we want to assure families that we intend to keep teams/teammates together to the extent possible based on player birth years.

Paid Head Coach or Trainer
If you select a team that notes that it has a paid trainer or head coach. Example:
Thunder (paid Head Coach)
Thunder (trainer 1x per wk)
On the payment page, please select the appropriate fee for the service. NOTE: should your team elect to have a trainer or paid coach following registration, you will be billed for the service at the start of the season.

Uniform Purchase
Under-5 to Under-10 Reversible uniforms now can be pre-purchased and paid for at the time of registration. If you do NOT have the full reversible kit (including shorts & white socks), you will need to order them. Pick-up will be Aug 27 and Sept 7.
For Under-11 to Under-19 the NEW ABSC Puma ‘Pitch’ uniform kit is now REQUIRED. Players must wear the complete uniform (blue home jersey, white away jersey, puma shorts, white socks). No other shorts or socks will be allowed. Puma Uniforms may be ordered online starting June 1. See our website for details.

Age 4 (born 2012): Under-5 Coed Program – Fall Classes Sept 17- Nov 13
Age 5 (born 2011): Under-6 Coed Program – Program runs Sept 10 – Nov 13
Ages 6 and 7 (players born 2009/2010) – Games played Sept 10 – Nov 13
Ages 8 and 9 (players born 2007/2008) – Games played Sept 10 – Nov 13
Ages 10 and 11 (players born 2005/2006) – Games played Sept 10 – Novr 13
Ages 12 to 19 (players born 2004 to 1998) – Games played generally Sept 10- Nov 13 (dependent on playing league: NorCal; Jack London or CalNorth D4)
