Thank you for the memories
Our beloved coach Osvaldo Segura passed away on August 31.
He left us too soon, and too young.
He picked up his cones and ball and walked off the pitch for the last time, but not before setting things right for his boys and letting us know how much he loved the game, and how much he wanted the club to do well.
All he wanted was to see his boys through high school, and when he realized he was not going to do that, he made sure he selected the right coach to take his “boys” to the next level.
Osvaldo is what we want for our children— quietly confident and a true leader.
Osvaldo is one of the three coaches who built ABSC into the modern club as we know it now. He always told me, “I am not going anywhere, I am here to build a real club where players can come and learn and develop as players and citizens.”
We will miss him telling us how much he loves the game and how his players are the best. We will miss the arguments if calls were not in his favor, and him having the last word with, “Come on Toney, man.”
We will miss you, Osvaldo.
