Sharpen your game over winter

Players around the globe play indoors to refine and maintain their skills and touch, and ABSC’s winter program helps players to sharpen foot skills, improve game decision-making ability, and stay fit during the off-season. Play is Saturday or Sunday: no weekday practice.

Season Dates: January 6th- Feb 25th, 2024

WHAT IS FUTSAL?

Futsal is FIFA’s official scaled-down version of outdoor soccer played indoors.

Small-sided games (5v5) are played with a smaller, low-bounce ball that forces players to use their skill rather than the ball’s bounce for propulsion.

Played with touchline boundaries, there are no walls in play.

Registration Winter 2024 OPEN ( click on any registration link on this website or login to your account)

Early-bird registration ends Nov 30th Registration closes Dec 20th Late sign-ups accepted as space allows and incur a late fee.

Cost

$125 for Under-5 $240 Under-6 to Under-19 ($220 with early bird discount)
  • No walk-ins. Players are checked in at door to confirm they have pre-registered.

Program Details:

Under-5 morning 60min Classes $115 cost for coed Under-5 Program ($115 with early bird discount)

Teams:

Under-6 to Under-19, boys and girls teams Competitive and Recreational level play Teams of 6-8 players play 5v5 NO weekday practice YES there are games Presidents’ Day weekend All games played in Albany/Berkeley gyms ( locations will be posted with schedule) Kid-directed, no coaching.

Players U6 and U7 can have parents help with subbing, if needed
NO volunteer deposit

ABSC trainers lead a 30 minute pre-game practice and referee 20-min halves games What to wear -

Pinnies will be available if needed.
Shinguards are required on all players.
Wear socks that cover the shinguards.
NO cleats indoors. Wear appropriate sneakers, trainers, or indoor soccer shoes.

Bring a water bottle and snack- no other drinks or food allowed in gym.

Team Formation: Our Futsal Program is team-based. To organize a team, please ask friends, classmates and/or your current teammates to come up with a roster of 6-8 players and a team name. Each player will then register/pay individually, requesting the team by name.
Players without a pre-organized team are encouraged to register. ABSC will add them to teams needing players, but placement is based on roster availability.
